Amazon Prime Video App Gets a New User Interface for Easy Access

Amazon has begun rolling out the redesigned user interface for the Prime Video app, with the primary goal of making content discovery easier for its customers.

According to the company, the Prime Video app will now feature a simplified, more user-friendly main navigation menu for quick access to movies, TV shows, sports, and premium channels.

Titles such as The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be easily accessible to Prime Video subscribers thanks to the revamped menu. The new navigation menu in the living room apps has also been relocated to the screen’s side for convenience.

In addition, the Prime Video app will have six main pages: Home, Store, Find, Live TV, Free with Ads, and My Stuff. If a visitor prefers to browse by the type of content or offer, sub-navigation options will be available.

As part of the updated user interface, the new app includes a carousel that displays movies with more dramatic graphics. For example, the ‘Top 10 Chart’ will display the most popular and trending content on Prime Video, whereas the ‘Super Carousel’ will showcase notable titles such as Amazon Originals and Exclusives.

Amazon is also making it easier for Prime Video customers to differentiate between content that is included with their Prime membership and content that must be purchased. To that end, the titles now include visual cues in the form of a blue checkmark symbol for available content and a shopping bag icon for titles that must be purchased.
