On Thursday, Google Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro were released in India. Pre-orders for the smartphone are now open in India. The Google Pixel 6a, a scaled-down version of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, was unveiled in May alongside the Pixel Watch and Google Pixel Buds Pro at Google’s I/O event. It has a 6.1-inch display and is powered by the Tensor SoC developed by the company. Google also revealed the cost of the Pixel Buds Pro, the company’s truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.
Google Pixel 6a Price and Availability in India
The Google Pixel 6a is priced at Rs. 43,999 in India. It is now available for pre-order in India and will go on sale on Flipkart on July 28. The phone was unveiled in three color options: Chalk, Charcoal, and Sage.
In India, Google is also bundling some launch offers for the Pixel 6a. There will be a Rs. 4,000 instant discount on Axis Bank Cards and EMI, a Rs. 6,000 discount on exchange of any Pixel device and other select smartphone models, and a Rs. 2,000 discount on exchange of any other smartphone. Customers can get Google Nest Hub Gen 2, Pixel Buds A Series, or Fitbit Inspire 2 for Rs. 4,999 when they buy the Pixel 6a. In addition, the Google Pixel 6a includes a three-month trial of YouTube Premium and Google One.
Google Pixel 6a technical specifications
The Pixel 6a, which was announced at Google I/O earlier this year, runs Android 12 out of the box and has a 6.1-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Google Tensor SoC and a Titan M2 security coprocessor, as well as 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The SoC is also used in the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones.
The Google Pixel 6a has a dual rear camera setup for photos and videos, with a 12.2-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture lens and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens. The Google Pixel 6a has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens for selfies and video chats.
The Google Pixel 6a has 128GB of internal storage. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options. An accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. For biometric authentication, there is also an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone has a 4,410mAh battery that supports fast charging.
