Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress, has declared that she has what it takes to assist the People’s Democratic Party in winning the next governorship election in Lagos State.
Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the gubernatorial candidate’s running partner, said this during an interview with Channels TV.
“I have the figures. I have admirers and followers. I’m honest with myself. I have almost 20 million followers on social media. Outside of Ikorodu, they believe there are a large number of grassroots people. What I’m here for is to improve the lives of Lagosians. I’m tired of talking; I want to be in power so that I can give solutions to the difficulties we’re facing “She stated.

Akindele was recently announced as the running partner for the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos state.
“Dear Lagosians, it is imperative for me to discuss with you my choice to pursue a far larger aspect of serving mankind. I am confident that hearing straight from me is the best option. With a major career in the entertainment business spanning over 25 years and the God-given grace to achieve notable achievement, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals “She stated.
Akindele stated that she chose to accept the mandate in order to assist women and promote the well-being of youngsters and girls.
“I viewed it as an opportunity to assist liberate and enhance the well-being of our people, particularly the disadvantaged young, women, and girls,” she continued.
The movie star is an educated lawyer with a two-decade acting career.
She was married to music veteran JJC Skillz, and the couple had twins.
