Israel Mobolaji Adesanya, a Nigerian-born New Zealand professional MMA fighter, defeated Jared Cannonier at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 276.
After five rounds of octagon combat, Adesanya, 32, won by unanimous decision against Cannonier.
The incumbent UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, entered the bout under pressure after Canadian rapper, musician, and actor Aubrey Drake Graham placed a large wager on him to win.
Drake invested one million dollars on Adesanya’s victory and even met with him the day before the bout.

Adesanya exhibited no indications of nervousness as he entered the ring to the theme tune of legendary wrestler The Undertaker.
At the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, in the octagon Adesanya asserted his authority right away, putting Cannonier on the defensive.
Despite a late combination of hits by Cannonier, his tactics resulted in a clear victory.
