John Wick is back after a trilogy of hard bouts, but it’s unclear how much more fight he has left in him.
The first trailer for John Wick 4 was released this weekend as a surprise during San Diego Comic-Con, and it includes all the highlights you’d expect from a Wick film, including Keanu Reeves looking very cool while training and new villains such as a menacing Donnie Yen and a cold-blooded Bill Skarsgrd. There are automobile chases, sword battles, and Laurence Fishburne holding up his classic black suit and asking, “You ready, John?”
However, it begs an essential question: where does it all end? Mr. Wick certainly needs a break, but there’s no word on when or how that may happen. In the intricate world of assassins, I’m not sure how vacation time works.
John Wick 4 — which looks to be named simply “John Wick” in the teaser — is set to hit cinemas on March 24th, 2023.
