Actress Kemi Afolabi has responded to rumors that she went to a prominent church to be healed of lupus.
Kemi, who has been battling lupus for months, responded by saying she is a devoted Muslim with a personal relationship with Allah, and she encouraged her followers to disprove the rumors.
The actress was responding to a viral photo of a woman being prayed for by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Loveworld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy.
The image was accompanied by a rumor that the actress was healed at a miracle ceremony.
“Since the news of my sickness became public, I have received reports of many disinformation and misleading narratives out there,” she said on her Instagram page on Sunday.
“I’ve disregarded it since my priority is my own well-being and health.” I am a devoted Muslim who believes in praying to God and seeking his face in times of distress; I have done so regularly, and JOY will be mine in the end.
“A few months ago, an image circulated online implying that I had attended Christ Embassy Church for healing.
