OnePlus, Realme, and Asus have announced the release of smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs, just one day after Qualcomm announced the flagship chipset. Asus will release the ROG Phone 6 gaming smartphone, which will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, while the OnePlus handset, which will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, is expected to hit the market in the third quarter of this year. Realme has also revealed that its GT2 Master Explorer Edition will be the first device to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Several other manufacturers have announced plans to use the new Qualcomm SoCs, but these are the first few to reveal concrete plans.

On its official Weibo page, OnePlus teased an upcoming smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. OnePlus has not revealed the name of the device, but the company has stated that it will be available in the third quarter of 2022.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will also be found in the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition. In fact, Realme stated on Weibo that the flagship smartphone will be the first Android device to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processor. The handset’s official release date has yet to be announced.

Finally, Taiwanese electronics behemoth Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 series, which will be released as the Tencent variant in China, will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in both the Chinese and global variants.
