Ronaldo has never been charged with a crime as a result of Kathryn Mayorga’s claims.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United has been exonerated by a US court after a Nevada woman accused him of attempting to bribe her over $375,000 in retaliation for claims that he raped her in Las Vegas in 2009.
According to the Daily Mail, U.S. District Judge Jennifer Dorsey dropped the case on Friday, blaming the accuser: Kathryn Mayorga’s attorney, Leslie Mark Stovall, for ‘poor faith conduct and the use of ‘purloined’ sensitive data, which the judge said contaminated the case beyond repair.

Dorsey stated in her 42-page decision that dismissing a lawsuit without the chance to re-file it is a severe punishment, but Stovall’s conduct had harmed Ronaldo.
What happened?
Mayorga, 39, said Ronaldo sexually assaulted her in 2009 after meeting at the Palms hotel’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Mayorga first sued Ronaldo, claiming he paid her $375,000 in an out-of-court settlement in 2010 to buy her quiet, but she instead filed a criminal complaint, claiming he lacked the mental ability to strike an agreement.
Was Maryorga raped?
Ronaldo’s legal team does not dispute the two had sex, but they believe it was mutual.
Ronaldo’s camp also claims that a confidentiality agreement required both sides to remain silent about the matter.
According to Mayorga, Ronaldo requested that she perform a sex act on him, which she refused and attempted to leave the hotel.
He has never been charged with a crime as a result of Mayorga’s claims.
What was Ronaldo’s reaction to the allegation?
Mayorga alleged in her complaint against Ronaldo that on June 12, 2009, she followed him to his room at the Las Vegas Palms hotel.
He allegedly forced her into a bed and tried intercourse with her as she pushed him off, only to rape her when she shouted out, “No, no, no!”
“Rape is a heinous crime that contradicts everything I am and believe in,” the former Real Madrid player previously remarked in reaction to Mayorga’s allegations.
