Shehu Sani Reacts As Zamfara Arms Citizens Against Bandits With Guns
Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has praised the Zamfara State government’s determination to equip its citizenry against bandit terrorists.
According to previous reports, the Commissioner of Information, Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, has instructed the Commissioner of Police to give a weapons license to individuals who are qualified.
Ibrahim stated that the government has committed to take more actions in response to the recent uptick in assaults, kidnappings, and criminal levies levied on innocent populations.
The government stated that it has directed individuals to prepare and obtain firearms in order to defend themselves against bandits, and that the state commissioner of police has been directed to issue licenses to all those who qualify and are willing to obtain such firearms in order to defend themselves.
Senator Shehu Sani responded on Sunday through his Twitter account, saying that Zamfara’s decision to authorize the distribution of weaponry is the only answer to the state’s escalating insecurity.
He went on to say that the meetings and comments are pointless since Zamfara is the center of terrorist groups.
“The Zamfara decision to authorize the distribution and ownership of weaponry to the public has become the only choice available for the people to protect themselves,” Shehu stated. The headquarters of Nigeria’s terrorist groups are in Zamfara. We’re sick of meetings, meetings, speeches, and declarations that produce nothing.”
